The PACT Act was passed in 2022 to grant permanent Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare eligibility to individuals with presumptive service-connected illness related to exposure to burn pits and other toxic substances for Veterans who served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and surrounding areas.
