If you are a family member caring for a service-disabled Veteran, you may be eligible for counseling to determine your career goals and training to increase your skills through ChooseVA.

 

Veteran dependents who are eligible for the VA Survivors and Dependent's Educational Assistance program may also receive the following resources: 

  • Career choice (understand the best career options based on your interests and capabilities)

  • Benefits coaching (make effective use of your VA benefits or other resources to achieve educational and career goals)

  • Personalized support (receive counseling and personalized support to remove barriers to success)​​

IVMF's mission is to empower service members, Veterans, and their families through actionable research, innovative programs, and insightful analytics - serving across the country and worldwide. IVMF's programs include Career Training; Entrepreneurship, such as: V-Wise Ignite (for women who are just beginning to explore the opportunity of business ownership), EBV Families, (integrating training with caregiver and family matters, so participants can launch a small business while tending to family responsibilities); Community Services, such as: AmericaServes (providing Veterans, transitioning service members, and their families access to a simple and effective way to access and navigate a range of supportive service in the communities); and much more!

Along with Military OneSource, SECO is part of the DoD Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program and provides education and career guidance to spouses worldwide as well as resources and tools for all stages of your career. If your service member is in the process of transition out of the military or has already transitioned out, be sure to utilize these services within 365 days (after the date of discharge) to obtain the benefits offered by the program.
